When you have ADHD, your mind is busy, busy, busy! Ideas flash through your mind at lightning speed. The problem is that we also have short term memory loss. The thought is there and then it is gone. OK, many of the thoughts actually weren't worth retaining anyway. But often we don't know what is worth keeping and what should be discarded until we have had time to analyse and think about the various ideas.

Having numerous projects on the go is another issue we have to deal with. Everything is interesting and fascinating and we just have to try this new hobby or that new craft or worse - we must start a business based on our passion for a new idea!

As Dave and I love technology and are glued to our computers for many hours of the day we needed to find a way that we could easily document our ideas and keep track of what we are doing. When you write (or type) it, it becomes real and becomes embedded in your mind. We also needed a programme that we could share and edit and also have accessible on our cellphones and tablet.

We have been using Trello for the past few months and it is working really well and the best part about it is that it is FREE! There is a paid version for big organisations but we don't need it.

Trello is online and stores all the information in the cloud. Once you have signed up and logged in you create an organisation and give it a name.

Within this organisation you create as many "Boards" as you wish. For example we have boards for Living ADDventure®, our other businesses, our various personal blogs, our finances, our hobbies etc.

We can each edit all the boards and add activities, due dates etc. Because we use Google Calendars to manage our diaries a great feature of Trello is that we can link the due dates from our Trello Boards directly into our calendars. Google Calendars send us free sms reminders to further keep us on track. It also helps us to discard the stuff that is not important.

A great feature of Trello is also that you can add checklists and tick off each item as you complete the task. Very satisfying.
