After mentioning our correspondence and discussing my vision with Prof Andre Venter, I feel comfortable you are the right person for my training. Prof Venter said to please mention our discussion to you as well as the fact that he is my son’s treating Prof for a couple of years now.

I have done an excellent course with Living Addventure and I know they offer fantastic opportunities for educators. Their program is becoming sought after, even in other countries. Their website is amazing and they are always available for advice and counselling.

I will always be grateful for the course I did with you guys and the way you have always been available to hear me out!!

I attended one of your workshops through Shannon Pluke in Cape Town.

I am impressed and find it very helpful. Also to know that there is more help at the end of the line. Shannon was an amazing mentor and did your program justice. Thank you for clarifying some of my questions through her.

"Dave Pughe-Parry is expert ADHD life coach. He has had incredible success in turning around individuals and whole families. He goes into homes, working with individuals and relationship dynamics along with the day to day practicalities that often derail people with ADHD. He has turned whole families around."

"Dear Dave

I don’t know if you will remember me but you saw me about 3 years ago at my WORST and last night I attended my daughters parents evening and sat in the audience with such huge gratitude and regret all at the same time.

Gratitude because you and Pat made such a difference in my life by helping me understand what I am really about and not just some lost soul and regret because I was soo busy getting divorced and feeling sorry for myself that I don’t think I ever actually thanked you for making the time for me and for also supporting me like you did. You also tried to open opportunities for me to coach and again, so busy being “single” again that I never followed through on anything!!

But more importantly, I just wanted to say thank you, seeing you up there, speaking made me realise that if I had never met you and Pat and have you in my home speaking to me about what and why I do what I do, I don’t think I would have grown as much as I have now.

I think about so many things you spoke to me about and different coping mechanisms and it’s why I am where I am today. I have been at my employment now for 4 years, studying my psychology degree and about to embark on becoming a lifeline counsellor!!

So thank you from the bottom of my heart and sorry it’s taken so long for me to do this and that it took seeing you on a stage to say all this!!"

My son was coached by Dave, the founder of Living ADDventure and it made such a difference to our lives, understanding how he processed information and how he learned was invaluable to us. I highly recommend him to those parents who are struggling with their children and learning, he specialises with children with ADD and is very supportive as a wise, experienced and ADD man himself. Here is one of his articles but go and view his sitet/facebook page for more information. http://livingaddventure.com/parents/125-parent-training-better-than-adhd-medication

Thanks to Dave, for confirming what I always knew.
I was a little different ,and was always made to feel special.
Being Diagnosed having ADHD {About 10 years ago} has taught me oh so much.

Last night we had a spontaneous supper at us with some dear friends.

Alecia said, how she loved my Spontaneity, being so different and my wackiness.

She said “My you seem so calm and relaxed.

Needless to say I never told her I was on Concerta.

Enjoying who I am ! thanks to you!

As an educator I wish that the negative stigma attached to medication could be eliminated as so many parents are reluctant to go this route even as a last resort. I think the more education parents are exposed to the better.

I have previously attended workshops and talks, and made extensive use of the materials on the LADD website but don't have the time to commit to the training courses. I work as the academic support for High school children who have learning disabilities but who are enrolled in mainstream schools.

Hi Dave and Pat
Just had feedback from a staff member who was at your talk/sharing with XXX mom etc. A dad who hit his child regularly for getting things wrong, went to the teacher in tears, saying he now knows that the child can’t help it and that he was wrong. Mom is now happy to leave him alone with dad at home. This explains why the child is no longer as aggressive as before.

To Pat,
You are an absolute angel in disguise! I cannot believe you even replied, let alone took the time to be so helpful! I will be get those forms together in the next few days and will get back to you as soon as they are done. I feel so relieved knowing that i am finally doing something, i hate watching my daughter sink so badly. At least you can give me an idea if I am right about her being possibly ADD or if there are other issues. Then i can make a plan to get her the help she needs. Thank you so much again! RH

I have been to a number of Dave's sessions in and around Pinetown as my son was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 6. It became quite clear to me that I also have ADD. I however decided that Kian's needs take precedent. So when all his medication dosages were sorted out, I decided to go and have an assessment done.
I was diagnosed with ADD on 26 Jan 2013 at the age of 35 and prescribed 20mg Ritalin LA a day and a month later the dosage was increased to 30mg. This is changing my life. Thank you for doing what you are doing and in that way educating people toopen their minds

Hello Dave,
You have no idea how much I really really appreciate you... truly God has equipped you with the ability to explain so well and being ADD yourself and having overcome so many problems in your life and now ministering to equip others to live a better a fuller life is truly a miracle.

Where do I start explaining what our lives would be like without Dave and Pat?
We have known them for over two years now and without their help and guidance, we would be wondering aimlessly thinking if we are alone or not
We have a child, 13 years, who has been Gifted with ADHDAs we all know life can be challenging enough with a teenager but add ADHD to the mix and it becomes even more interesting
Whenever we have a question or are just inquisitive, we pop a mail, call, or even smoke signals to them and they always come back with helpful information They make you feel like you part of a family and are always there for you.
Many a time parents of an ADHD/ADD child feels like the world is on their shoulders and that they have nowhere to turn in regards to practical and useful information.
With the Living ADDventure (LADD) website we can simply go there and search through relevant information and possible solutions

Dave and Pat are our lifesavers and knowing that they are just a phone call away is the best feeling ever.
As they say they are Better Than Sliced Bread.

Having been through coaching myself, and now coaching others, I am convinced of the effectiveness and value of coaching adults with ADHD! There were so many 'light bulb' moments;

I learnt an incredible amount about myself, the condition and relationships; it was truly life-changing (without sounding cheesy). Understanding ADHD and WHY you do things is vital if you ever hope to move on and make changes in your life. A very powerful aspect for me was the fact that with coaching you focus on the future and not the past. Unlike a lot of therapy I've done in the past which never showed me how to move on from your past!

An ADHD Coach walks alongside a client while the client chooses what changes to make in their lives, and giving them the understanding, tools, knowledge and insight to do it.

There is a practical component to coaching, to enable you to learn new skills, but a vital part is also working on your thoughts and 'mind-speak', as this affects every area of your life.

Coaching also includes working with the family, as the most successful outcome is made possible if the Adder has his/her family's full support and understanding.
